Our Mission – Peninsula Camera Club began in 1956 to encourage, foster, promote, and advance photography in all its facets through joint effort and participation of all members. The club has a high commitment to both social activities, teaching, learning and competitive aspects of photography. Club members are encouraged to participate in all forms of photography, including and not limited to prints, digital imaging, audio visual, club competitions, national and international exhibitions, social activities, events & interactive outings.

Our Vision – Peninsula Camera Club’s vision is to encourage growth of artistic vision and technical knowledge by;

  • Creating a welcoming and friendly environment where all members and visitors are welcome and appreciated.
  • Creating a platform for all members from beginners to experts to share their work in a formal environment through monthly competitions as well as in an informal and social environment where the emphasis is on sharing and discussion, rather than competition.
  • Creating a system where members with diverse experience and skills can interact, learn, and share. Not only from each other, but also through formal channels such as the Photographic Society of Queensland (PSQ), Australian Photographic Society (APS) and leading photographers in the photographic industry.
  • Providing opportunities through workshops, outings, and teaching to gain experience and build a portfolio with a wide variety of subject matter.
  • Fostering a culture of working together as club members to promote photography and Peninsula Camera Club to a wider audience.
